Lake Chabot

Earlier this month we went to Lake Chabot in Castro Valley and rented a motor boat. It was a lot of fun even though Paco could have pulled us faster than the motor took us. Even the geese swam by us like we were "sitting ducks"!! Paco had a blast swimming in the water and playing fetch. Here are a few pictures from the trip!!

The fastest geese in the world!!

Father's Day Weekend

For Matt's first Father's Day we decided to go to San Diego and surprise his family and let them see how much Alyssa has grown. We had such a wonderful time visiting with everyone and finally meeting Madison for the first time!! She is such a cutie and seeing how much Calvin, Michael, and Alex have grown make us miss them so much more!! We will definitely have to make it down there as much as possible! We visited with Nanny first and introduced our little one to the Great Grandparents and Great Aunt. Alyssa enjoyed being the center of attention before she had competition with little Colin who is as sweet as can be!! Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures with Colin so we'll have to make sure to get them next visit. Saturday we spent the afternoon with Tammy and Alyssa had her first photo shoot!! I think she would enjoy being a little model!! She was so adorable and I hope to get some pictures soon. Sunday all the kids went to their Dad's and made a big breakfast and we hung out there before we had to head back home. On our way back we visited Nanny again and then had dinner with Grandma June and Grandpa Roy!! We had such a wonderful time and can't wait to make it out that way again!!

Sigmund Stern Grove

The Henry family sitting in the concert stadium!!
The other day we decided to explore new places in San Francisco we had never been and decided to go to Sigmund Stern Grove. We found out about this place only by chance when we decided to take a new route to Fort Funston with the boys about a month prior. We got a little lost on the way but came upon these beautiful eucalyptus trees and it looked very intriguing. I couldn't get the park out of my head and decided we had to go by there at least once while we lived here. It was absolutely beautiful!! As we walked down the driveway you could see little trails leading off and then there would be a big stone bbq pit. Once we got down the hill the first thing we came to was the concert stadium where they have free concerts every Sunday during the summer. We, however, went on a Wednesday. After you walk through the stadium you come to a huge field where it's an off leash dog park!! Matt and the boys had a lot of fun playing for a while before continuing around the pond where we saw lots of turtles and ducklings. We had so much fun and can't wait to go there again!!
